Hi bloggers! oops wrong color. Hi bloggers! As I mentioned previously I am in Santa Monica. What a beautiful city this is. Before I go any further I have proof that I 'm here...My friend George called me after he read that I was going to the beach on my blog. He informed me that there was a live web-cam near the Santa Monica pier and urged me to find the spot so he could see if he could see me. He did, it is pictured below.

I am circled in red. I thought this was hilarious and I'm glad he suggested it. I was waving at a couple friends who were gathered in his office to witness the event. Ah, the wonders of technology, and the frustrations!

Yesterday was pretty uneventful as I was tired from my long trip. I went to bed shortly after I arrived. Staying awake only long enough for my friend Garrett to get home from work so I could shake his hand for real after talking to him many times from the road. He and his fiance are such nice people (hopefully they are reading this so they can witness my kissing up first hand) They are great to let me stay until I get settled. All humor aside I'm not sure if I would have ever made the move if I didn't have a place to stay when I arrived. There's nothing I can say or do to express my thanks. I took a bicycle ride after sleeping late (I got about 12 hours sleep which was much needed after my long haul) The area is extremely nice. It was a little cool today, only about 62 degrees for a high. I seem to be bringing the cold weather with me wherever I go. I apologize to the entire population of California for this. Below are some pictures I took out on my bike ride. I didn't take as many pictures as I, or you, wanted  me to as I was just soaking up the scenery for myself. There are some beautiful houses here. Below is the house I am staying in temporarily with my friends Garret and Teresa.
